Today’s Tour Guide features some of the countries hardest working and most eclectic outfits, including a headlining tour from Sydney MC Joelistics and an EP and tour from Brisbane duo The Ninjas. Victorian outfit The Murlocs have announced they will support mates King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard on tour and 60s-influenced rock outfit Burn Antares will also hit the road in support of their new single.
Joelistics Announces ‘Blue Volume’ Tour
Sydney MC Joelistics has announced a string of nation-wide tour dates to mark the release of his most compelling and personal record to date, Blue Volume. The MC will play shows in Sydney, Newcastle, Hobart, Maroochydore and even more in between this October.
After first hitting the scene as a member of Melbourne-based hip-hop crew TZU, Joelistics continues to wow audiences with his ability to meld Australian narratives with funk inspired beats on his second sophomore effort.
Fresh off the back of their joint collaborative show to a sold out Darwin Festival crowd, Joelistics will be joined by Sietta as main support and guests on stage each night as well as rapper and triple j Unearthed winner Mathas from Perth.

The Ninjas Announce Debut EP And National Tour
Brisbane punk duo The Ninjas have announced the release of their self-titled debut EP, due to be released on Friday, August 22nd, and to celebrate they’re hitting the road for a string of dates this September.
The EP was recorded and mixed by various Brisbane producers including Sean Cook (Velociraptor, Big Scary) and Magoo (Powderfinger, Regurgitator, Jungle Giants) and is jam packed with straight up rock tunes.
Adding to the good news, the band have also released the video to their latest single Never Had Much Time. Shot and edited by the band themselves it gives you a taste of a day in the lives of The Ninjas.

The Murlocs Join King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s National Tour
Victorian outfit The Murlocs have returned after a timely break following the release of their debut album Loopholes earlier this year and have announced they will be taking their debut effort on the road with them as they join mates King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard for the East Coast leg of their national tour.
The band have also today premiered their new video for the album’s title track. Created by longtime artistic collaborator Jason Galea, the clip features distorted video signals, glitch and doomsday prophecies mixed with footage taken at a Sydney Murlocs show.

Burn Antares Announce ‘Crystal Love’ Single Tour
Sydney five-piece Burn Antares have announced an east coast tour this year to celebrate the forthcoming release of their new single Crystal Love. The outfit will be bringing their 60s tinged pop rock tunes to Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney this September.
Fronted by charismatic vocalist Grace Farriss, the daughter of INXS keyboard player Andrew Farris, Burn Antares released their debut self-titled in late 2013 and returning to the studio this year, to record a follow up with producer Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Andy Bull, Jeremy Neale).
The group also recently lent their soulful, vintage vibes to a cover of INXS’ By My Side, a song that was written by Grace’s father. Check it out below.
